James Damaskinos graduated with Distinction from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Rhetoric and Professional Writing. James went on to complete his law degree at the prestigious institute of Osgoode Hall Law School. He articled at the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, where he gained important insights into the work of both a Barrister and Solicitor. While at the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, James Damaskinos assisted in prosecutions of police officers under the Police Services Act, where he gained a firm understanding of police practices and the relationship between police officers and citizens’ rights.
James is able to leverage his experience working with police to assist in defending clients charged with criminal offences. He has a keen interest in defending the rights of citizens against police abuse of power.
